Managing heatwaves

14:00 – 15:30

With climate change, the occurrence of heatwaves has become increasingly likely. These affect our health, our well-being and numerous related areas of our society, such as labour and productivity - and not just in large cities. This is why almost all countries, depending on their geographical location, need to prepare even better for future heatwaves.

Policymakers, the health sector, organisations, science and civil society are already involved in heat health protection. In view of the increasing health threats, this commitment must be strengthened and further improved. In this panel discussion, we want to discuss selected international practice examples of heat health protection measures with various stakeholders. Heat is one example of the interrelationship between climate protection and health protection.
