Harald Winkler

Harald Winkler is a Professor in PRISM, School of Economics at the University of Cape Town (UCT). His research interests are at the intersection of sustainable development and climate change mitigation. Specific focus areas for future research include equity and inequality between and within countries; just transitions; the global stock-take; and low-emission development strategies. Harald is a coordinating lead author of the Contribution of Working Group III to the Sixth IPCC Assessment Cycle AR6, and co-facilitator of the technical dialogue of the Global Stocktake under the Paris Agreement.
