Stefan M. Büttner is Director of Global Strategy & Impact at the Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production (EEP) of the University of Suttgart, Chair of the UNECE Task Force on Industrial Energy Efficiency and coordinates the joint activities of EEP and the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA on climate-neutral production. As initiator of the international Energy Efficiency Barometer of Industry (#EEBarometer) and project lead of the Energy Efficiency Index of German Industry (#EEIndex), he analyses the situation of the manufacturing industry in its breadth and depth. He works in multinational working groups such as the Energy Efficiency Financial Institution Group (EEFIG), the UNECE Group of Experts on Energy Efficiency, the UNECE Task Force on Carbon Neutrality, and as former coordinator of the G20 energy efficiency working groups on industry and financing, on 'Strategies to enable the decarbonisation of the industrial sector' and has already given well over 100 speeches in more than 30 countries.
